Russian Far East, August, 2002

The Russian Far East has been for centuries the meeting-, and often the clashing-point of Russian, Chinese, Japanese Korean empires. I've always been intrigued by the area, and took advantage of an invitation by a Russian-speaking Japanese friend for a short visit to Vladivostok and Khabarovsk.
